Welcome to Alan De Back Learning & Communications. With over twenty years of training, facilitation, and management experience, I have been an independent consultant, trainer, and facilitator for the past fifteen years. Having experience in higher education, government, and both large corporations and small businesses, I bring to my clients the ability to quickly understand their environments and business needs.
In developing and providing learning solutions, I offer a flexible, customized approach to your organization’s learning needs. I facilitate interactive and practical sessions, with an emphasis on development and application of skills that your employees can use back on the job. I also provide consulting services in a variety of areas to help your organization address issues related to career transition, performance management, and development/enhancement of communication skills.
In December, 2009 I became a published author! My book, titled Get Hired in a Tough Market, was published by McGraw-Hill. The book provides an easy to follow blueprint for job seekers to follow in looking for their next position. You'll find more information about my book on the "Get Hired..." page on this website.
More recently, I was co-author with my colleague Michelle Carroll of a TD at Work publication. Marketing Your Career Brand was published by the Association for Talent Development (ATD). The publication offers tips and strategies for identifying, building, and marketing your brand.
